Internship & Research
Discover. Learn. Serve.
The Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement of Sri Lanka welcomes international students, scholars, and professionals to engage in meaningful internships and research collaborations that support both the personal and academic goals of participants while contributing to sustainable community development initiatives implemented at the grassroots level.
Sarvodaya operates a wide range of projects and programs aimed at improving the living standards of people across Sri Lanka, overcoming challenges related to ethnic diversity and geographical variations. These initiatives provide immense opportunities for research across diverse topics aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Participants can explore fields such as rural development, environmental sustainability, ICT for social impact, community health, education, and community based tourism.
These programmes are designed to offer real world experience while upholding Sarvodaya’s mission of empowering communities through self reliance and collective well being. Interns and researchers gain valuable exposure to grassroots development practices, contribute to ongoing projects, and collaborate with field experts and local leaders.
Interested individuals are encouraged to submit an expression of interest outlining their area of study or research, duration of stay, and desired field of engagement. Placements are available year round and can be tailored to meet specific academic or professional objectives.
