Learn Through Living Experiences

For the past year, Sarvodaya has been coordinating an impactful Study Tour Programs that offer international students a unique opportunity to engage with Sri Lankan communities and experience grassroot development firsthand.

As part of the program, students were warmly greeted by the Sarvodaya established societies. They open their villages and homes to provide deeply immersive cultural and educational experiences. Each visit is thoughtfully designed around a community identified need, with students actively participating in a service project that directly benefits the host village. These projects not only support local development but also foster meaningful relationships and mutual understanding between students and villagers.

Sarvodaya has already successfully implemented this program in collaboration with leading institutions such as the University of Wisconsin, Stanford University, and Elon University in the USA, as well as Fukuoka Women's University in Japan.

The Study Tour Program reflects Sarvodaya commitment to experiential learning, cultural exchange, and compassionate service. It is an invitation to learn, serve, and grow together towards a more just and sustainable world.
